Produced a series of paintings Figures in Motion and then it seemed a logical step to cut out the figure shapes thereby adding another dimension. Also, with appropriate lighting the shapes can create a play of shadows. The materials are a mixture of masonite, canvas, tape, twine, then gessoed and plastered and painted in acrylics. The works are generally mounted on wooden grids but some figures are hung individually.
